HEALTH WARNING!!
You're about to step back in time to visit Protostar, a website I created to share my old school journals! For the health-conscious, here are some important things you must know before visiting Protostar:
- * The Protostar website, was created in 2003, BEFORE I knew about web standards.
- * The Protostar website uses tables and sliced-up images for layout.
- * The Protostar website does not have a DOCTYPE.
- * The Protostar website uses the font tag.
- * The Protostar website claims that it looks best "on a PC with Microsoft Internet Explorer 6".
- * The Protostar website does not separate content from design.
- * The Protostar website uses vintage HTML and CSS mark-up.
- * The Protostar website would not even be able to BE validated by any W3C validator due to its lack of DOCTYPE.
- * The Protostar website does not have a concept of semantic mark-up.
- * This "front-door" page that you're on right now is almost just as bad as the Protostar site: no DOCTYPE, vintage HTML mark-up, vintage CSS mark-up, you name it.
In short -- the Prototype website is "OLD SKOOL" -- in every possible way that a website can be Old Skool.
Most certainly, it does not represent my present design and coding practices (neither does this "front-door" page). I'm leaving it as it is as a relic of
a bygone era. Because I was quite happy with it when I created it in 2003. :) I will not be responsible for ill-health on the part of the visitor as a result of the items listed above. :)
I have read and understood the above and still wish to enter. Let me in! »
